Romans 10:14-16
14How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? 15And how can they preach unless they are sent? As it is written, "How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!"

Micky Bell - Pulpit Minister

Micky began his work with us January 6th, 2008.  He brings his very real and personable style to our pulpit and leads the congregation in worship with his insightful and encouraging messages.  His passion for God’s word is demonstrated with love, simplicity, conviction and a little humor.  He received his formal education from Freed-Hardeman University in Henderson, Tennessee where he received his bachelors (’82) and masters (’93) degrees.  Micky came to us from Nashville, Tennessee and before that he served the Lord’s church in Birmingham, Alabama. He brings 27 years of full-time experience in pulpit work and church administration/organization to our staff here at Jersey Village.

Micky met and married the former Linda Kidwell while a student at Freed-Hardeman and they have been married for 27 years.  They have three sons, Micah (19), a student at Freed-Hardeman, Taylor (15), a tenth grader, and Aaron (12), a sixth grader.  Linda is a high school office secretary.  It is immediately obvious that Micky’s family is his top priority in this life.  The Jersey Village church family comes second only to his own immediate family, and we believe that this is as it should be.

The purpose statement of the Jersey Village congregation is, “Worshiping God, Loving and Being Loved, and Serving the World Around Us.”  Micky strongly believes that his role as a church administrator is to teach, train and motivate church leaders to align all of the ministries and programs of this congregation to fit into that purpose statement.  He believes that this purpose statement is also the process that we should follow as a church.  People come to “worship God,” then move to a “loving and being loved” setting, and then they want to participate in “serving the world around us” opportunities.  Our purpose statement is the process by which we bring every member to spiritual maturity.  Micky is confident that the Jersey Village congregation will one day be a model for other congregations who also wish to grow numerically and spiritually!  He believes that this congregation is on the verge of doing great things….all to God’s glory!

Keith Johnson - Youth Minister

Keith and Renee Johnson came to us from the Kingston Church of Christ in Oklahoma where they worked with the youth. Keith is a native from Port Elizabeth, South Africa. He graduated from York College in Nebraska with an AA degree and met Renee at Abilene Christian University. Keith has been working with youth since 1980 when he himself was but a lad. He especially enjoys raising leaders and teaching teens how to preach the gospel to their peers. They have three children, Janessa, Janelle & Keegan.

Jeremy Sprott - Outreach Minister

I spent the first decade of my ministry in the Fort Worth area working primarily in youth ministry with two different congregations. I was blessed to become a part of the Jersey Village ministry staff in November, 2006 as the involvement and outreach minister. I graduated from the Brown Trail School of Preaching in 1997 and went on to obtain a Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy from the University of Texas at Arlington, in 2001. I graduated from North Texas University with a Master’s Degree in Counseling in 2005.

It is my hope to create an environment here where everyone feels welcomed and important. We all posses valuable talents and gifts, that when combined, will enable us to truly experience the wonderful blessings that come with true Christian living. Our hope is that this church family will be one that you will want to be a part of! We strive to be friendly, accepting, and full of love for everyone. Please come visit sometime and let us get to know you better.
