More than seventy young people attended the recently concluded (December 22-25,2003) 3rd Annual Panay-Negros Youth Camp held in Aglalana church of Christ,Passi City,Iloilo. The Camp was represented by nine cooperating churches in the West Visayas, namely: Aglalana, Passi City; San Miguel Iloilo; YMCA- Iloilo City; YMCA-Bacolod City; Pulupandan, Negros; Kabangkalan, Negros; Santa Barbara, Iloilo; Cabatuan, Iloilo; Kalibo, Aklan and visitors from Talamban and Babag, Cebu City. Our theme: "Christian Youth Developing Christ-like Character." Lectures and Devotional speakers: Ed Montoyo Jr, Elmer Montoyo, Paul Montoyo, Fred Arrellano, Rey Arrellano, Edgar Maquiling, Sammy Sinco, Merari Garovillo, Rey Sausa, Bro Clavio of Pulupandan, and Bonnie Bayarcal. Panay-Negros upcoming events for 2004: February 4-6, The Church Leaders Meeting and Fellowship, will be hosted by the church of Christ in Kalibo. Theme: "Ascertaining Bible Authority for the so called Parachurch Organizations (e.g. WBS, MARCH, MOSES, BIBLE COLLEGES, etc.) Raised As Biblical Issue By Some Sector". Able speakers will be invited to lecture. The event shall include two nights of Gospel Meeting. April 6-9, The 3rd Annual Negros-Panay Family Camp to be hosted by San Miguel and Iloilo City churches of Christ. There are others to be confirmed activity like Public Discussion concerning issues of Anti-Institutional and Musical Instruments, but as of this writing there are no notices of engagement yet from other proponents. Please help us with your prayers that these activities will continue to spur the Negros-Panay brethren in their efforts to rally the Lord's cause in this part of the country.
